It was raining heavily in my neck of the woods. Had an instant craving for hot chai and masala vadas. Checked my pantry...... hooray !
Ingredients:
Channa Dal - 2 cups
Dried red chillies - 6
Shah jeera -3/4 teaspoon
Hing/asafoetida - a pinch
curry leaves
salt to taste
oil for frying.
Preparation.
Rinse and soak the channa dal in water for 4 hrs. Drain all the water completely and along with the rest of the ingredients pulse them coarsely in the food processor. Make patties and deep fry them in oil . Enjoy !!!!
